North Little Rock

North Little Rock, another of Central Arkansas' major cities, is across the Arkansas River from Little Rock in Pulaski County. The city is the sixth-largest in Arkansas with nearly 60,000 residents.

The city is home to a number of sporting complexes, including Dickey-Stephens Park, the home of the Arkansas Travelers baseball team. Also in downtown North Little Rock is Alltel Arena, which is a multipurpose arena and home to the Arkansas Twisters arena football team. Burns Park, one of the largest municipal parks in the United States, is located in western North Little Rock.

The city's logo and emblems are based on the "Old Mill," a grist mill in the city that was featured in the opening scenes of Gone With the Wind.
